Beth Organ

Bridging the North/South divide, Beth is a proud northerner and naturalised Londoner est. 2010. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and since graduating hasn’t been in anything you would have seen unless you caught the back of her head on Silent Witness that one time. Her work ranges from brand new musical theatre to Shakespeare, short film, voice-over, research & development, and devised work, with particular interest in theatre as a platform for political debate ‘cos shouting into the void just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Most recently, Beth toured as Tess in Hotbuckle Theatre Company’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles, provided the voice for shipboard-computer ‘SARA’ in VR game Space Salvage, performed notorious one-actor play White Rabbit Red Rabbit, and joined the cast of satirical new work She Said What?! for its run at the Hope Theatre. During the pandemic Beth worked as a simulated patient, training medical students in online tutorials, and was commissioned to design and deliver online drama courses for London residents with refugee status, which have since transitioned to in-person teaching.

Beth is a proven Magic-Eye champion, she can greet you in high-elven, and her other interests include long walks, sweet cocktails and smashing the patriarchy. She will be touring again this summer in Great Expectations.

After a chance meeting with Lisa Lynn (Acaprov founder) at a Stag party (where they sang Natalie Imbruglia together in an East end pub) he auditioned for the group in 2019 and the rest is history! Scott loves sketch show style comedy, and making people laugh, but really enjoys the depth of characters that Acaprov makes space for in our shows. As well as a competent improviser James is also a storyteller and actor who facilitates drama sessions for all ages. James graduated East 15 in 2016 and discovered his love of improv the following year getting involved with the London Improv Theatre, Extreme Improv and the Laughter Academy. Since then he has took up more workshops and trainings in different forms including Shakespeare, Rap, SHOWSTOPPER!’s musical improv training; and Hoopla and The Nursery in long form. When James isn’t performing (or serving drinks) he can be found on a film set, although he hasn’t spotted himself on the TV yet no matter how many times his family ask at Christmas.

Anjali Singh

Anjali Singh

Anjali is a writer, performer and teacher based in Brighton. After a degree in Anthropology and a Primary PGCE she vaulted into the performing world over the garden fence via sketch comedy, drag, lots of improv classes and an MA in Applied Theatre. One of her favourite achievements was being (almost)-crowned the Runner-Up Alternative Queen of Reading in 2016 with a 3-minute musical about an alien grappling with the male gaze. She was also part of drag performer Jonny Woo’s Kate Middleton Choir, a choir of women dressed up as Kate Middleton.

Restlessly drawn to borders and to meandering across them, she carries around a sack full of semi-completed projects which explore the experience of being an outsider and at the overlap of different worlds.

She joined Acaprov in February 2022, taking a 7-month hiatus to journey from the northern- to southernmost point of India, the other country she grew up in. Back in the UK, Acaprov gives her a regular and invaluable boost of musical creativity and lovely human connection.

Her solo show A Matter of Time was shortlisted for the Neurodiverse Review ADHD Comedy Award.
